Dips for triceps This is how you train them optimally

Scroll this

With dips you train both your chest and your triceps. If you want to make it a real triceps killer, so less chest and more triceps, follow the following advice.

STAY UPRIGHT

To activate your triceps as much as possible, perform the exercise as upright as possible. The more you lean forward, the more you train your chest.

To stay upright, keep your feet slightly in front of you, with your legs straight and your toes pointing out.

Stay upright as you lower yourself.

BRING YOUR ELBOWS BACK SLIGHTLY

Move your elbows back slightly as you lower. This puts much more emphasis on your triceps and makes the exercise heavier. You won’t be able to do as many reps as you used to.

DIP DEEP

Lower yourself deeply: to the point where your biceps touch your forearm. Hold for one second at the bottom for optimal stretch. Bump yourself up for the next rep.

FINALLY

Triceps dips are one of the best exercises you can do for your triceps, especially if you follow the tips in this article. It is also the only exercise that effectively trains all three triceps heads.
